Boxing

BoxingBoxing is a sport in which two participants similar in weight, go at it toe to toe for a series of rounds inflicting damage to eachother with only their fists. Boxing is considered a martial art as well since it is a fighting style and many of its techniques are used in most martial arts.

Boxing, which is also known as Western Boxing, develops the skills of the hand as well as footwork. Common punches a boxer will throw are the jab, cross, hook, and uppercut.

If you have already noticed, most martial arts include the basic boxing strikes.

Some defensive techniques a boxer would practice are slipping, bobbing, weaving, parrying/blocking, clinching, and covering up.
