Tae Kwon Do
Tae Kwon Do is a modern martial art from Korea that is known for its fast, powerful, kicking techniques. Originating from a combination of Chinese, Japanese, and traditional Korean fighting styles, Tae Kwon Do is one of the world's most commonly practiced martial arts. It is the national sport of Korea and also taught to military personnel.
Tae Kwon Do can be a very powerful art of fighting when practiced by adults. In Korean, Tae Kwon Do is translated as "the way of the foot and fist."
Tae Kwon Do training includes a comprehensive system of hand/foot strikes and blocks, but does not emphasize on any ground fighting or grappling skills which makes it stand up only. Tae Kwon Do mainly focuses on using the leg's greater reach and power to strike from a distance.
Trust me, you do not want to take a kick from a trained Tae Kwon Do practicioner, it's can do some serious damage! I'm sure my fellow Tae Kwon Do guys will back me up on this.
